J&R is the ONLY place I can find these TDK DVD-Rs, which by all accounts are highly-rated and don't have the problems with a lot of the discs being 'bad' that, say, Maxell DVD-Rs (my second choice, as they were on sale at Staples that same week) have, which is very important to me, as I plan to use these discs for creating recovery DVDs for the new computer I hope to buy in the next few months (among other things).
J&R is the only online seller that carries the TDK DVD-Rs; I very nearly ordered a pack of sale Memorex DVD-Rs from Staples, but after reading the many comments on how a LOT of the Memorex DVD-Rs turned out to be "bad"/unusable, and how consistently good the TDKs were, I decided to just spend the extra $9.00 for the TDKs, as I'd done last year. (BTW, I gave that TDK spindle of 100 DVD-Rs to my brother a few months ago, and so far he's had no complaints.) I just wish they'd been on sale when I bought them today, but I shall be buying a new computer soon, and I will need these for burning a recovery DVD, as well as backing up my DVD collection (and my VHS collection, if and when I get a VCR/DVD combo unit).

Really like the fact that my chinese bus from Albany drops me off very close to your store in Macys. Pick up on35th st is also convenient so I always make a point of stopping in on my trips to NYC.
